Applications are being accepted for the The 2020 Maryland Certified Public Manager® Programs.

There are two separate programs: one for Government and Nonprofit Professionals and a separate program for Public Safety Professionals.

Maryland CPM for Government and Non Profit Professionals

Admission Requirements: To be admitted into the Program, the candidate must:

1. Meet one of the following criteria:
• Be in a supervisory or managerial position for at least one year;
• Be responsible for a major program or support function;
• Be identified by his/her agency as an individual with potential for advancement into a supervisory or managerial position.

2. Have approval to participate in the program from his or her direct supervisor.

How to Apply – Complete the online application available at MarylandCPM.ubalt.edu. A completed application packet includes:
• Completed and signed application
• A current resume

Maryland CPM for Public Safety Professionals

Admission Requirements: To be admitted into the Program, the candidate must

1. Meet one of the following criteria:
• Be in a supervisory or managerial position for at least one year;
• Be responsible for a major program or support function;
• Be identified by his/her agency as an individual with potential for advancement into a supervisory or managerial position.

2. Have approval to participate in the program from his or her direct supervisor.

How to Apply – Complete the online application available here. A completed application packet includes:

  • Completed online application
  •  A current resume
  • An applicant letter of interest stating why this is the right professional development opportunity for the applicant
  • A Supervisory Statement of Support (Form can be downloaded from the application or here)
  • A Fiscal Agent Statement (If your organization is paying some or all of the cost of attendance.) (Form can be downloaded from the application or here)
